2026 Tree Service Group Discount

Do you own a home in Melrose Place and have

  •  a dangerous water oak that needs to be trimmed or removed?

  •  a live oak with limbs that need trimming?

  •  any other tree situation that worries you about property damage?

Please consider joining a 2026 neighborhood tree service GROUP DISCOUNT. All services to be provided by a licensed arborist.

If you're serious about getting tree work done and want to enjoy the benefit of bulk pricing, email/text/call me by June 1st. Simply state that you would like to participate.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
If 10 or more homeowners are interested, I will take the next step of working with you and the service provider to get an initial quote.  From then, my job will be to ensure that you, the homeowner, and the service provider are mutually benefiting from this arrangement.

HOW MUCH IS THE DISCOUNT?
Unknown at this time.  Because it would be a bulk discount, it is solely determined by the amount of work that gets contracted and will be at the discretion of the service provider.  I'm here to facilitate cooperation and move things along but not to haggle for any party.

WILL THERE BE A WORK AGREEMENT?

Yes, but not at this time.  If enough people are interested, initial quotes per property will be given.  The homeowner will be required to indicate conditional acceptance of the quote, but this will be non-binding. Once gathered, all quotes will be adjusted to include a group discount.  At this time, interested homeowners must enter into a work agreement with the service provider.

WHAT IF HOMEOWNERS BACK OUT?

At least 10 homeowners must indicate real interest to me about participating by June 1st.  If that threshold is met, I will engage the service provider.  If, during the period of quote gathering, people decide not to use this service, that's fine.  The arborist will ultimately decide what discount is feasible based on continued participation.

WILL THE DISCOUNT ONLY APPLY TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD?
Yes.  There is considerable overhead involved in dispatching and hauling equipment across town to different jobs at different times.  The proposed discount comes from reducing this overhead by working jobs in close proximity in a relatively short period of time.

WHY THIS INITIATIVE?
This project is based on responses to a 2025 neighborhood security/safety survey, recent incidents of property damage by trees, and a neighborhood walk-through by a resident tree expert.

WHAT IF THERE'S LESS THAN 10 INTERESTED HOMEOWNERS?
I'll put the initiative on pause until there's enough collective interest to make it economically feasible for all parties.

WHAT IF MY NEIGHBOR DOESN'T RECEIVE EMAILS BUT WANTS TO PARTICIPATE?
Have them contact me.

WHO IS THE SERVICE PROVIDER?
I asked 3 homeowners I trust to recommend an arborist they've hired before. Each was vetted by me and all agreed to offering a group discount . All were highly qualified, but I chose the following arborist. Want to skip the group thing or grill this arborist on his credentials?  Give him a call:

Roy Deeder
Certified Arborist since 2008
In the tree care industry since 1993

IS ANYONE GETTING A KICKBACK?

Nope, just administrative headaches, ha ha.  We just want a safer neighborhood and happy neighbors.

Let's make Melrose a safer, more beautiful place to live.
