MLK Day of Service

Litter Pickup Around Melrose Place

Meet at the corner of N. Foster and Hermitage Dr.

We will be walking down Foster, then the Florida Service Rd.

A big thanks to resident Cary Skaggs for organizing this event!

On Saturday, January 17, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we will be picking up litter on both sides of North Foster Drive and along the service road in front of the neighborhood.

If any residents would like to join, we can provide gloves, trash bags, and pickers.

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Hermitage and Foster, walk down the sidewalk on Foster Drive (including the far side if it is safe to do so), then turn left through the gas station onto the service road, and finish at the City Pawn Shop.

No sign-up is required, but it would be helpful for supplies. https://forms.gle/eYLH87NH1pucjdm89

The Walls Project will also be cleaning, among other projects, just to the west of the neighborhood starting on 49th Street. Residents can register here: https://www.thewallsproject.org/mlkfestbr
