Neighborhood Barbecue

On a beautiful Saturday in October, we had a neighborhood barbecue! Folks from every corner of Melrose came to enjoy a great time and some of the best barbecue ever. A very special thanks to Janice Charles who hosted the event, prepared much of the food, and coordinated the grilling. Rick Vallet and Robert Johnson brought their expertise and hospitality while making it look easy. This was truly a gift to the neighborhood from this trio.

Events like this are a labor of love and only possible through partnerships that take time to build. They're also a great starting point for building those relationships. We believe a vibrant, safe neighborhood is a connected neighborhood.

Finally, a shout out to the handful of neighbors whose help behind the scenes (before and on the day of the event) made all this come together: Heather DeVitt, Val Spencer, Heidi Guercio, Nathaniel Klumb, and Charmaine Torry.
