Are you a new resident? Welcome to our wonderful neighborhood! We are thrilled to have you as our newest neighbor and hope you’ll find our community as warm and friendly as we do. As you settle into your new home, we wanted to take a moment to share some quick information about our neighborhood and a few guidelines that make living here enjoyable for everyone.
Trash and Recycling:
Trash: Tuesday and Friday A.M.
Recycling: Friday A.M.
We ask that your cans be brought up from the street the same day after pickup to help
keep our streets tidy.
Parking
We kindly ask that everyone park in their driveways. Overnight street parking and parking on the grass in your front yard is a city ordinance violation. Street parking is a safety concern and is unsightly.
Noise Levels
We value our peace and quiet during the evening hours. Please be considerate of your neighbors by keeping noise levels to a minimum after 10 pm.
Lawn Maintenance
We ask that everyone keep their lawns mowed, the street curb edged, and the street kept free of leaves and debris.
Membership
Melrose Place has both an active Civic Association and a Crime Prevention District (CPD).
Please pay Civic Association annual dues - this allows us to continue the work of improving our neighborhood and protecting the investments of homeowners. Read more here.
The Crime Prevention District is funded by a $150 tax that is automatically applied to your property taxes, which funds regular police patrols of our neighborhood and other security initiatives. Read more about security here.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
